As the weather grows colder and damper, and we enter those chilly months known as fall and winter, mugs of hot chocolate and apple cider begin to appear in students’ hands around the school. But here is my personal suggestion for the perfect fall and winter treat: baked apples.
Wash and core 4 medium-sized apples (any type will do, but I usually use MacIntosh) and place in glass baking dish.
Pour in an inch deep of apple juice, and fill the center of the apples about half full with maple syrup.
Cover the dish, and place in the oven at 350° for 45 minutes to an hour, until the apples are soft.
On a cold day, nothing tastes or smells better.

This sounds like a great recipe! I can’t wait for there to be a really cold so that I can try making it myself.
