Like every cupcake-loving Marlborough girl, I get updates on my Facebook newsfeed from many a bakery about new flavors and special deals of the day. Some days, I dutifully read these, but others, I simply skim through or ignore them; it’s relatively easy to ignore updates from cupcake bakeries in other cities, if for no reason other than as much as I crave those cupcakes, they are sometimes out of reach…

However, Sprinkles has had some very exciting cupcake-related Facebook posts in the past few weeks, leading up to the opening of two new marvelous additions to the Beverly Hills dessert scene: Sprinkles Ice-Cream, and the 24/7 Cupcake ATM.

Upon seeing these wondrous updates, I did the first thing any girl would do: scream with delight, to the shock of the friend sitting next to me. Her confusion was evident, so I decided to fill her in. Within a minute, she was grabbing on to my arm, nearly in tears. “Are you serious? Is this real? Am I dreaming?”

It is real. The Cupcake ATM is up and running right outside Sprinkles Cupcakes in Beverly Hills, and has been since Mar. 6. The machine dispenses the same fresh cupcakes that are available in the store, but is open 24/7 to fulfill your midnight cupcake needs.

And as for the ice-cream? The new Sprinkles Ice Cream Shop isn’t open yet, but a member of the Sprinkles press team announced via LA Weekly that the shop would be a “back-to-basics creamery with a Sprinkles twist!” And what could be more of a “Sprinkles twist” than ice-cream sandwiches made of cupcake tops?

This Marlborough girl knows where she will be satisfying her cravings come AP Exams. It’s a good thing her bakery will be dispensing 24/7.
