At Marlborough, we can certainly pursue our passions in both food and photography. After all, the Head Chef of Café M was trained at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Art and has worked at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, and thanks to the 2009 renovation, Marlborough now has its own darkroom.
It’s no surprise then that the popularity of Foodgawker, a blog that combines cuisine and photography, is on the rise at Marlborough. The blog features an array of photos of food — from chocolate banana cream pie to spicy baked potato wedges — submitted by food bloggers from around the globe. When clicked, each photo directs to a separate post with the recipe for the pictured edible creation.
Katherine ‘11 warns that Foodgawker will make your mouth water.
“The only bad thing about Foodgawker is that I’m always hungry,” she said. “After looking at it, I start craving everything. Like Banh Mi [Vietnamese baguette sandwiches] and these really good looking Vietnamese waffles called Banh Kep La Dua.”
