As Marlborough girls, we’re pretty big on three things: getting good grades, going to a good college, and eating…a lot. So it helps that we go to school in the heart of Los Angeles, a city filled with its own vibrant culture and a giant array of interesting eateries for us all to try. In the free time that we have, we’re known to crave all types of food from a variety of cultures.
In Mid-City, Korean barbeque is big, much like on Pico Rivera and Olvera Street Mexican food is on every corner. These two cultures are prevalent in downtown Los Angeles, and if you’ve ever craved these two cuisines at the same time, then you’re in luck. Enter the Kogi truck. What’s more unique and L.A. than a delicious meal on wheels? Absolutely nothing, and we’re not the only people who think so.
With lines stretching around blocks and mad dashes to be first in line, the Kogi truck has become as notably Angeleno as the Hollywood sign. Fortunately, Marlborough girls will get to have a taste on September 29th from 11am-2pm! Tickets are priced at $8. You can thank our student council for giving us a little something to look forward to. We crave those Korean tacos as much as we crave the weekend.
