Shin-Sen-Gumi (Sawtelle Area)

1601 Sawtelle Blvd.
There are multiple locations for this gem, but the Sawtelle location is the only one I have been to. They specialize in ramen, but put a unique twist on the traditional dish. You are able to customize the ramen by choosing from a variety of toppings. The modern, studio-like atmosphere is comfortable and casual.
What to get: Kids Set. This includes a sample of all their best including ramen, dumplings, rice, and fruit.

This revolving sushi bar will go above and beyond your expectations. The plates simply move around the restaurant on a conveyer belt and you can grab the plates as they come by your table. The waiter/waitress will count the plates at the end to find your (inexpensive) price. Each dish is under $3.00!

This exceptional spot is on the more expensive side, but it is definitely the best sushi in Venice. The modern, authentic Japanese designs make this one of the coolest places around. Plus you will be in one of the most happening areas in Los Angeles!
