Ileana ’11 was named the 2010 Guerin Prize winner Wednesday night.
The Guerin Prize is an opportunity for juniors to write a competitive essay about the living American whom they most admire. The winner gets to meet her role model in an intimate setting.
Ileana will meet influential Hispanic broadcast journalist Jorge Ramos.
She hopes to ask him for advice and guidance on journalistic integrity.
“The morals and ethics he applies to journalism have really influenced me in my pursuit to become a better journalist,” Ileana said.
The Guerin Prize, along with the Guerin Visiting Scholars program is funded by the Guerin Endowed Fund established by Trustee Rick Guerin.
