L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) is currently featuring a collection of outfits worn in Oscar-nominated films for the Institute’s 19th annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition.
Movie and design enthusiasts may visit the display throughout the upcoming weeks to witness the beauty and the art from their favorite films.
This year’s collection includes the majestic wardrobe from “The King’s Speech,” starring Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Derek Jacobi as well as the scintillating costumes from “Alice in Wonderland,” starring Anne Hathaway and Johnny Depp.
Director of the Institute and Museum Barbara Bundy told the Los Angeles Times, “Hollywood is part of our community… Designers can come through and see the costumes up close.”
