Sushi Stop (Sawtelle Area)

2222 Sawtelle Blvd.

This place is absolute sushi heaven. Everything in the restaurant is $2.95 and I can guarantee that this is the best quality of sushi available for such a low price.

What to get: Spicy Tuna Avocado Roll

Shin-Sen-Gumi (Sawtelle Area)

1601 Sawtelle Blvd.

There are multiple locations for this gem, but the Sawtelle location is the only one I have been to. They specialize in ramen, but put a unique twist on the traditional dish. You are able to customize the ramen by choosing from a variety of toppings. The modern, studio-like atmosphere is comfortable and casual.

What to get: Kids Set. This includes a sample of all their best including ramen, dumplings, rice, and fruit.

Kula (Little Tokyo)

333 E. 2nd St.

This revolving sushi bar will go above and beyond your expectations. The plates simply move around the restaurant on a conveyer belt and you can grab the plates as they come by your table. The waiter/waitress will count the plates at the end to find your (inexpensive) price. Each dish is under $3.00!

Jinya Ramen Bar (Santa Monica)

2400 Main St.

The outstanding ramen and dumplings will make this your go to for comfort food. Named #15 of America’s Best Ramen Shops by The Daily Meal, this bustling place has not only dependable service, but also consistent food. With locations in almost every part of Los Angeles, Jinya is practical and easy to get to.

Shima (Venice)

1432 Abbot Kinney Blvd.

This exceptional spot is on the more expensive side, but it is definitely the best sushi in Venice. The modern, authentic Japanese designs make this one of the coolest places around. Plus you will be in one of the most happening areas in Los Angeles!
