Most people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and therefore, it should be jam-packed with protein that can push you through those rough morning classes. I say, since breakfast is the most important, why not make it the best meal of the day? Why not just eat donuts for breakfast? Or, if you’re in a particularly sugary mood, why not eat donuts all the time? Well, the reason is quite obvious, as we all know that donuts are not the healthiest choice out there, but it’s always acceptable to splurge. And, if donuts are a regular part of your daily diet, we won’t judge. For whatever kind of donut lover you are, here are some of the best places to get donuts in the Los Angeles Area:

Randy’s Donuts

This old-time diner-style restaurant is located in Inglewood, California and is easily spotted with its giant donut over the roof.  It is best known for its glazed apple-fritter donut.

Glazed Donut Bistro

This innovative restaurant made its debut with fried chicken donuts and recently added mac ‘n cheese donuts to the menu. If you are feeling adventurous and in need of some new flavors, then you must sample these crazy donuts in Santa Monica.

Donut Friend

This vegan-friendly place is located in Highland Park, and it resembles a donut version of Pinkberry. You choose the general frame of the donut and then add whatever appeals to you, such as bacon or maple glaze. A popular donut is the “Mint Town,” which includes a chocolate cake donut stuffed with mint icing and topped with fudge glaze, crushed chocolate cookies and a mint leaf.

DK’s Donuts & Bakery

This popular donut place introduced the waffle/donut combo to Los Angeles. The customer gets to choose from countless toppings such as cookie crumbles, fruit, and much more to pair with an appetizing waffle donut.

SK’s Donuts & Croissants

This family-owned bakery is located right near The Grove and holds a vast selection of different flavored “cronuts.”  For those of you who are unaware, this croissant and donut hybrid is a must-try!
